I was in the hallway of Parkway Christian Academy the other day and a student came up to me and proudly stated, "I have friends and they like me". I was almost brought to tears immediately as I quickly affirmed him and then began to think over what I had just heard. This boy had no doubt encountered many people his age "friends" who may not have had any time for him, but it was all he had. Chris had just encountered true friendship. I could see it in his eyes, that completeness that comes when you know that you belong and somebody cares about you. Chris had a friend.
What if during this Valentine season we looked around for a Chris and reached out to show them God`s unconditional love! Happy Valentine`s Day!
